Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and a Minor in Dance Performance from Winthrop University; pursuing a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Furman University

Number of years teaching /Experience working with children: I am beginning my third year of teaching. In high school, I worked four years as a dance student instructor for Griffin School of Dance. Throughout my college experience, I volunteered at Boys and Girls Club for a semester and finished practicums and volunteered at schools around the Rock Hill area.

At a glance - Ms. Allison Boozer.

As I teach your child every day, I work to teach the strategies and provide tools for him or her to be a successful citizen in the future.

What I love most about teaching is seeing the students’ expressions when they understand the content and make a connection with real-life experiences.

Fun fact: I have been dancing for over 20 years!

Favorite book and why: My favorite book is The Help by Kathryn Stockett. It is my favorite book because the main character (Skeeter) risks her career of being a journalist to reveal the true story of how African American maids were treated in Mississippi during the 1960s. Skeeter risks everything that she has to make a difference in the Deep South before the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s.
