COVID-19 Grading Procedures - High School (to see the document, click here:  https://5il.co/fn22)

1. Only one final semester grade will be reported for the second semester. The semester grade will reflect work completed and mastery demonstrated during the third and fourth quarters combined, but will not be reported as two separate grades.

2. The current third quarter grade will be considered as interim reporting. The semester grade will be composed of all third quarter grades, as well as the grades from both remote learning packets. The final due date for packets for students in grades 9-11 is May 15 (deadline for seniors is April 30).

3. Both remote learning packets will be weighted as major grades in 3rd quarter.

4. Packets will be graded using a range that begins with the student’s grade floor (3rd quarter “interim” grade) and goes up to 100, with a grade of 100 earned for packets that were completed with fidelity. Under no circumstances will a student who completed a packet receive a grade lower than the 3rd quarter “interim” grade.

5. Packets will be entered in PowerSchool between dates of 3/16/20 and 5/24/20. No grades will be entered under 4th quarter.

6. Continue to reach out to parents and ask for packets to be turned in by May 15. We will address the procedure for packets that are not turned in after May 15.

7. Deadlines for grade entry will follow the current district calendar; with the exception of seniors (noted below).

Seniors Only: ● The period of time for course completion, demonstration of mastery, and course remediation must be finalized by May 15.  ● Remote learning packets for seniors will be collected on April 29 and 30. ● All grades for seniors will be entered into PowerSchool by May 22.
