Mid-Carolina Middle School is proud to recognize two outstanding members of our school family for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to students. Each month, teachers and staff are nominated by their peers, and this month we are thrilled to honor Mrs. Renee Johnson as our September Teacher of the Month and Mrs. Shanna Gallman as our September Support Staff Employee of the Month.
Mrs. Renee Johnson, Resource Teacher, is described by her colleagues as positive, supportive, and always willing to help others. She ensures all student accommodations are accurate and effective so students can perform their best in class. Mrs. Johnson is patient, knowledgeable, and passionate about her work—consistently providing encouragement and inspiration to students and coworkers alike.
Mrs. Shanna Gallman, PowerSchool Clerk, is known for her kindness, organization, and dependability. Her peers describe her as friendly, polite, and patient, always willing to help both staff and students. Whether it’s communicating with teachers, managing attendance, or greeting students in the morning, Mrs. Gallman brings positive energy and a genuine heart to everything she does.
Both Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Gallman embody the spirit of our September mindset, Passion First. This mindset reminds us that when we focus on what we love and bring enthusiasm to our work, we inspire others to do the same. They serve as role models for our entire Rebel family, showing that passion and purpose lead to excellence.
